After 17 years, David had started to think of England as home. After his stint with Ballet for All, he returned to Canada. Not, as many thought, to Toronto. Instead he landed in Edmonton with the Alberta Ballet and was picked up at the airport by Lambros Lambrou, who had been a student at the Royal Ballet School. Finding himself wearing too many hats, David moved on to help set up the theatre program at Grant MacEwan College. He was allowed creative direction for many years in the Theatre, Dance and Outreach program, and inspired another generation of students. During this time, he continued to teach in the community (Citie Ballet, Ballet North, Festival Ballet, among others), as well as adjudicating and choreographing ... and performing. |
